Design degree in the specialization of Interior Design

High degree artistic courses of Interior Design are regulated, basically, by what was established by the council (the organization of the courses) in the DECRETO 48/2011, de 6 de mayo, del Consell

In the Marco Español de Cualificaciones (MECES), High degree artistic courses are placed at the 2 level (degree) among the four levels that compose the Academic Education. The level of Técnico Superior is achieved at the first level, the level degree at the 2 level, the Master level can be achieved at the 3 level and the PhD level can be obtained at the 4 level.

Duration

High degree courses of Design are composed of four academic years, for a total of 240 credits (60 for each course), and each credit corresponds to 25 hours.

Objectives

In Interior Design the following skills are the developed:
The ability of creating
The ability of evaluating and intervening in spaces in which people can live, work, rest and establish relationships. All of this needs to be developed by keeping in mind the aesthetic and operational aspects

Production sectors/employment

– Properties and design of interior spaces for houses
– Design of different spaces: commercials and recreational spaces; administrative spaces; cultural spaces; educational and recreational spaces; ephemeral spaces; interior spaces of different means of transport
– Reconstruction of properties
– Landscape and design of public spaces
– Company and creative activities management
– Construction management, measurement, financial statements and risk prevention in the field of Interior Design
– Operations management in the field of Interior Design
– Research and teaching

Curriculum

The curriculum of the courses* consists of four academic courses and each of them corresponds to 60 credits ECTS, for a total of 240 credits ECTS. The credits are distributed among the subjects of the semester. They are divided among basic subject courses, specialist training, external internship and final projects.
